Benefits of Membership

• Members receive a complimentary copy of the FCAG Summer Enrichment Camp Guide ($15 for non-members).
  
  
• Members help fund general meetings for the public about research on gifted children and education, and the accumulation and distribution of information on opportunities for gifted and talented children.
  
  
• Members receive priority reserved seating to FCAG events that are open to the public. Popular events and speakers, such as The Mathemagician (Professor Art Benjamin of Harvey Mudd College), often attract over 500 attendees and are sometimes standing room only.
  
  
• Members have the opportunity to attend special FCAG events, such as game events or math nights, open only to members and early registration for events that may be opened up to the public.
  
  
• Members can get information to guide personal decisions for a gifted student using our discussion board and resources on gifted education in the Northern Virginia area.
  
  
• Members help fund the AMC 8 and AMC 10 mathematics competitions, which FCAG administers for free to over 2000 middle school and high school students per year in Fairfax County.
  
  

Online Membership and Donations

FCAG accepts online payments for membership and donations. You can pay by credit or debit card or by PayPal.

Note: The PayPal buttons on this page lead out of the FCAG web site to the PayPal server that is not under the control of the FCAG. FCAG never collects or sees your financial data.

How Online Payments Work

Each time you select an item you will press the Add to Cart button which places the item in your shopping cart. You may purchase one item or several items. You will see your shopping cart each time you add an item to it.

Each item in your cart has a quantity field so that you can change the quantity to order. To remove an item from your cart, click on the Remove check box next to the item and then press the Update Cart button. Two buttons on the lower right of the cart will allow you to Continue Shopping or Checkout. You can press View Cart at any time to check on your order

When you are done shopping, simply click the Check Out button in the cart and follow the directions on the payment screens. Your payment information will be handled on PayPal's secure server offering you 128-bit encryption for the highest level of security available.

How do I pay?

Paypal Website Payments accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, and PayPal. Use credit or debit cards.

On occasion, PayPal will reject a valid credit card with the message:

The credit card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit card number.

This is likely due to measures they have taken to protect you and themselves from fraud. They will not give out precise "rules" for when they request a different card. This is a problem others have, too. We can only suggest that you try again the next day, use another card, or set up a PayPal account.

Is PayPal safe to use?

According to the PayPal site:

PayPal protects your financial information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PayPal, your financial information is not shared with the merchant. Once your payment is complete, you will be emailed a receipt for this transaction.
