2012 Summer Academic Programs and Enrichment Camp Fair - 1/24/2012
Please join us for the annual FCAG Summer Academic Programs and Enrichment Camp Fair at Oakton High School on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 7:00-9:00pm.
FCAG Speaker Series - 2/7/2012
Save the date for FCAG's next distinguished speaker, Ms. Toby Ratcliffe. She will speak at Luther Jackson MS on Tuesday, February 7 at 7 pm. She's a Research Hydrodynamicist at the U.S. Department of Defense Naval Surface Warfare Center in the Carderock Division. She will be talking about their outreach efforts in local schools to increase student and teacher awareness of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). They help mentor LEGO Robotics and MATHCOUNTS teams. They also host international submarine races, host various middle and high school programs to build model-scale underwater remote-controlled vehicles and teach aerospace. In addition, they have internships (SEAP) and teacher institutes for elementary and high school STEM teachers. It's free and open to the public, so please share with your school's PTA or PTO.

School Board Testimony - Science in Elementary Schools

School Board Candidates Answer FCAG Questionnaire
Click here to see the results of a short questionnaire FCAG sent to all 2011 School Board candidates. 20 out of 22 candidates responded. FCAG is a non-partisan, non-profit, and non-governmental organization. The organization does not endorse any candidates.
National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists
In September 2011, FCPS released information about FCPS students' performance on standardized tests and this year's National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. These press releases can be viewed on FCAG's new PSAT/SAT Info page.
SAT Score Information
On November 18, 2010, FCPS released SAT score information by school and race. That data can be found here.
Proposed Draft Elementary School Report Cards (Grades K-6)
FCPS has been working on a new elementary school report card for grades K-6. The anticipated roll-out date is the fall of 2012. Here is a copy of the most recent draft (which continues to be modified) as of November 2011. Here's the older draft as of November 2010 (Front, Back).
